Terms and Conditions

1. Purpose and acceptance

JAMBOX ACADEMY S.A.S. (hereinafter, “JamBox”), a simplified stock corporation incorporated in Colombia, owns and operates the JamBox platform (jamboxacademy.com), a virtual music academy service that offers one-on-one personalized classes, educational materials, and live sessions through paid subscriptions.

By creating an account, making a payment, or using the platform, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. The service

JamBox connects students with music teachers for private lessons in a virtual format. The subscription gives access to: one-on-one classes with the assigned teacher, a private space with notes, files, links, and assignments, scheduled sessions, and notifications.

The exact scope of each plan (instruments, frequency, session length) is the one informed at the time of contracting and may be adjusted by mutual agreement between the student and the academy.

3. Accounts and access for minors

Student accounts are created by JamBox (there is no self-registration) in the name of the subscriber or the guardian, and access is provided through secure access links or credentials sent to the registered email address.

If the student is under 18 years of age, the subscription must be contracted and paid for by their father, mother, or guardian, who is responsible for the use the minor makes of the platform and declares that they hold the authorization for the processing of the minor's data.

The user is responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials and for everything that happens under their account.

4. Subscription, prices, and automatic renewal

The service is provided through a subscription with monthly, six-month, or annual frequency, depending on the plan contracted. Prices are expressed in Colombian pesos (COP) and include applicable taxes where so indicated.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, charging the same registered payment method, until you cancel. You may cancel at any time by contacting JamBox; cancellation prevents future charges but does not give rise to a refund of the period already paid.

If a renewal charge is declined, the account may move to an overdue payment status and be suspended until the payment is brought up to date.

5. Payments

Payments are processed through Wompi, a Colombian payment gateway. JamBox does not store card data: the full number and the sensitive data are tokenized and held solely by Wompi under its own responsibility.

By contracting, you authorize Wompi to make the subscription charges on your behalf in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms.

For disputed or unrecognized charges, write to us first at contacto@jamboxacademy.com so that we can resolve it.

6. Acceptable use of the platform

The platform is for personal music learning. It is forbidden to: share your account with third parties outside your household, upload material that does not belong to you or that infringes copyright, harass or stalk teachers or other students, and use the platform for purposes other than learning.

JamBox may suspend accounts that breach these rules, with prior notice when possible.

7. Intellectual property

The materials, content, and resources provided by teachers within the platform are for the personal use of the student. They may not be redistributed, resold, or published without authorization.

JamBox trademarks, software, and design belong to JAMBOX ACADEMY S.A.S.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time by writing to contacto@jamboxacademy.com. You will keep access until the end of the period already paid.

Refunds: if, for causes attributable to JamBox, the service could not be provided during a period already charged, the unused proportional part is refunded. Payments already consumed are not refundable.

9. Limitation of liability

JamBox makes every effort to keep the platform available and working correctly, but does not guarantee uninterrupted access (there may be maintenance, failures of third parties, or internet failures) or specific academic results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JamBox is not liable for indirect damages or loss of profit. Nothing here limits the liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to the service and to these terms

We may update the service and these Terms. Relevant changes will be communicated by email or within the platform with reasonable advance notice. Continuing to use the platform after a change means accepting it.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute will first be addressed amicably; if that is not possible, it will be heard by the competent courts of Colombia or by the applicable consumer protection mechanisms.
